Quality policy
Ever since Gustav Heess GmbH was set up, almost a century ago,
our aim has been to develop an enduring business relationship with
our customers, based on co-operation. This is still our aim, but
it can only happen if our customers are satisfied with us. Such
satisfaction is linked directly to the quality of the goods and
services that we provide. There is nothing new about this principle,
since it pre-dates modern Quality Assurance by a considerable margin
and has been the guiding principle undergirding our business practice
for a very long time.
There is far more to Quality than simply working to agreed Specifications.
For us, Quality means:
- providing customers with the most suitable product
- with the agreed properties
- on time
- at sensible market prices
- with the necessary documentation
and, furthermore,
- to use our expertise to provide customers with technical information
and details of how to use our products
- to use our knowledge of the market to help customers to make the
right decisions regarding their purchases
- to select our suppliers carefully, so as to ensure reliable sourcing
- to react to problems promptly and, where all efforts at resolution
fail, to ensure that our customers are borne constantly in mind
when processing claims.
Quality is not set in stone, but is part and parcel of a lively
corporate culture - just how lively this culture is was seen during
heated debates that often characterised the discussions held during
the introductory phase of this Quality Management systems! The outcome
of these discussions, in which nearly all employees took part, was
that everybody disagreed with these objectives and many issues were
thought through afresh. The net result was that everybody took something
away from them.
'Quality' is at the top of the list of priorities and, as a means
towards achieving the objectives that have been set, the Board of
Messrs. Gustav Heess GmbH is now implementing the Quality Management
System.
